McLaren will return to F1 at some point in the future.
The Australian team, who are already working on their return to the sport, have confirmed a new partnership with Mercedes, and have indicated a possible 2018 entry in the sport’s most competitive class.
The McLaren-Mercedes deal will see the Australian outfit racing alongside the German manufacturer for the first time.
The partnership will see McLaren work with Mercedes in F1 for the foreseeable future.
McLaren’s return to Formula 1 is one of many projects in the works, with the team also exploring the idea of making an F1 comeback in the form of a road car.
While McLaren’s 2018 F1 campaign was a disappointment for the team, it was a step forward in the right direction for the future of F1.
The team will also be involved in a number of initiatives, including building a track at Barcelona and a new factory in China.
