In the race for the Phantom, Toyota has gone for the chassis that’s been seen before: a twin-turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder.
But with a higher rev limit, the price is $1,500 less than the Corvette, and it can go from zero to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds.
And it’s backed by a 6.2-liter turbocharged V6.
Toyota is touting the car as the fastest production vehicle in the world, and its owner is a Chinese billionaire who has invested heavily in the sport car.
A lot of that investment, though, has gone into building a car that can do the trick.
Toyota’s new Corvette is the first car in the Phantom line to be produced in the United States.

Its best-seller among American buyers, the Corvette Stingrays are the only cars in its class that Toyota has produced in this country.
The Corvette StingRay is a five-door coupe that’s powered by a 1.8-liter V6 that produces an astonishing 540 horsepower.
In a four-door sedan, the StingRay gets the power from a 4.3-liter twin-cam V8 that gets a whopping 692 horsepower.
The Stingray’s power is balanced by a 5.7-liter supercharged V8, which is rated at 550 horsepower.
That makes the Stingray the fastest car in history to achieve 600 horsepower.
And for some, it’s a huge advantage.
With a top speed of 190 mph, it can reach a top of 270 mph.
It can go 0 to 60 in 3.8 seconds.
The car can go through its quarter-mile in under four seconds.
That’s better than the quickest production vehicle, the Ford Mustang.
The Mustang is a four door hatchback that’s built on the same chassis as the Stingrays, with a 5-speed automatic transmission.
That means it can hit a top top speed over 190 mph.
But it’s not just about speed.
The new Stingray also comes with a range of high-tech features, including a radar-sensing rearview camera that tracks your speed to let you know when you’re close to the edge of the curve.
And its battery-electric motors charge up to 200 miles per charge.
But the StingRays most important feature is the chassis, which can accommodate a supercharged 1,500-horsepower V8.
That allows it to reach a range in excess of 200 miles, making it an ideal vehicle for anyone who wants a fast, powerful, luxury car.

In addition to the StingRAY, the Chevrolet brand will unveil a Corvette Sting R. The newest Corvette, the 2017 Corvette Stingara, will be introduced in 2018.
The most important question about the Corvette is this: Does it deserve the $1.6 million price tag?
There’s no doubt the StingRAiders first-generation version is more powerful than its predecessor.
But even the most powerful sports car on the market today isn’t fast enough to go 0-60 in 3 seconds.
At least, not fast enough for most people.
It’s too expensive.
It doesn’t go 0 – 60 in less than 4.2 seconds.
It has a starting price of $71,700, but the car is expected to sell for $115,000-$130,000.
And if you have the cash, you can get it for $1 million.
So which is the faster car?
Buying into the Corvette’s hype is a risky business.
A car with a 1,000-horse power boost that costs more than a Corvette that costs $1M is a gamble, and the new Corvette won’t be cheap.
But buying into the hype is the right thing to do.
Buying in and waiting to see what happens can lead to a car like the Corvette that’s better for the environment than the current Stingrays.
