A new generation of the Alienware 17 motherboard and a revamped i3 processor will make their debut at Computex 2016 next month.
Alienware has announced the new Alienware 15 R-15 motherboard, the first in the Aliengear line of computers, as well as a new i3 version of the i5-8400 processor that will make its debut alongside the new 17R-series processor.
We’ll be taking a closer look at the Alientech 15R-Series processors in a separate article.
The motherboard will feature the new CPU and memory, and the i3 model of the Intel Core i5 CPU will be replaced by the AMD FX-9590FX 4.0 processor.
The new AlienTech 15R series processor will be priced at $1,199.99, while the AlienTech 17R series motherboard will be available at $999.99.
The 15R processors have been available for the Alien-branded 15R laptop since January of this year.
The laptop will feature a dual-core Intel i5 processor and 256GB of RAM, and it will have a 256GB PCIe SSD as standard.
The i3 laptop will be offered at $499.99 with 256GB or 512GB PCIe, and will also come with a 256Gbps USB 3.0 port.
The Alientech 17R processor will also have 256GB SATA SSDs, but will come with 1TB of PCIe SSDs instead.
The laptop will come in two versions, the AlienGear 17R laptop with 256G and the AlienR 16R laptop, with 128G and 256G PCIe SSD options.
The AlienTech laptop will have dual HDMI outputs, a USB-C port and the USB-PD power port.
It will have an 11.6-inch Full HD screen with 1920 x 1080 resolution, and can also have a 5.25-inch display with 720 x 1280 resolution.
