Tesla’s first electric car is expected to arrive in 2018, according to the company’s CEO Elon Musk.
The new car is slated to come in a number of models, including a smaller sedan called the Model 3 X. Musk said that the Model X is expected for a 2019 launch.
Musk also hinted that Tesla may start production of the Model S in 2019.
Musk previously said the Model 4 would arrive in 2019, but it’s not clear if that is the Model E or the Model Y. Musk has previously said that Tesla is in talks with Ford about the possible production of its Model 3.
Tesla also announced plans to invest $1 billion in the Model R, a car that Musk previously called “the future of cars.”
The automaker is also set to introduce a range of electric cars, including the Model A, which is expected in 2019 and will likely compete with the Model 5.
Tesla will also likely unveil a new electric vehicle called the Tesla Model X.
