The dyno results for the GMC ACR-CX series dyno for 2018 are in and the ACR stands at the top of the heap, with the Acadia and the Acura CTQ-6 scoring well above their predecessors, with both scoring a high 4.0 horsepower.
The Acadia is the only new vehicle to score a 4.1 horsepower score, and the only vehicle to achieve that mark in the previous year’s Dyno.
Both the Acadias were tuned by Ford, and Ford is the exclusive distributor for the ACX-R series.
The ACXR is the largest family of vehicles to ever compete in the USFIA Championship.
It features a six-speed manual transmission and four-wheel disc brakes, and it is powered by a 2.6-liter turbocharged V6 producing 320 horsepower and 335 pound-feet of torque.
The engine has been updated by Ford to use a six cylinder, four-valve unit, which can deliver an additional 2,500 hp and 4,000 pound-ft of torque, according to Ford.
The Dyno results were posted on Friday and will be published in the coming weeks.
