Posted April 30, 2019 07:24:06With the GT-P racing series, Nissan is aiming to expand the concept of its new LMP1 car, the LMN.
The concept is based on the GT86 chassis, which debuted in 2018 and the LMNA-based LMN chassis is expected to compete with the BMW M3 and Mercedes-AMG GTE.
The GT-RM and LMNA chassis will be built on the LM3 platform, which will be based on Nissan’s new 5-liter V-8 engine that powers the Nissan GT40.
The LMN engine will power the GT40 and the LMP2 and LMN will use a V-6.
The new GT-LMN-LCD will have an aluminum block with a carbon fiber-reinforced-molybdenum monocoque body and a carbon-fiber-reinsulated front splitter and a aluminum body.
The bodywork will be aluminum, while the engine will be carbon fiber.
Nissan is aiming for the LMna-based chassis to be competitive with the GT90 and LMna to be more comparable to the GT85.
The LMNA and GT-CM chassis will share the same powertrain, and the chassis will also share the carbon fiber and carbon fiber composites.
Nissan said it will offer the LMNB-based GT-CMA chassis, but only to LMNA customers.
The GT-CR and LMRC-based cars will be offered to LMN customers.
The Nissan LMNA will be a new model for the North American market and will be the first Nissan car to use the new engine, Nissan said.
The LNA chassis is designed for road use and is intended to be a street car with a more relaxed handling profile.
