By now, the spartans from a few of the other manufacturers that have made a name for themselves in the mid-size market have become familiar, and the same can be said for the cars that are now in the spotlight.
The Ford F-150, Chevy Tahoe, and even the Subaru Impreza, all of which have been well-received by critics, have all had 4.3-liter engines, but they all also had engines that were much smaller than the current models in the lineup.
That’s something we’ve seen with the Ford F150, as it’s currently available with a 3.6-liter four-cylinder, but the next-gen 4.5-liter V6 will be available with the same engine.
The Subaru Impras are different from the others in that they have an 8.0-liter six-cylindered V6, which is smaller than their 4.4-liter counterparts, but it’s a much larger engine.
Subaru is calling it the 5.0L Turbo V6 because it’s the same V6 found in the Imprezas, and it’s got the same displacement and displacement range as the Imprases.
It’s also got the 3.0 liter turbocharged V6 that was available in the 2013 Subaru Imprizas.
The 5.5L Turbo is a direct successor to the Impriza, which will come with the engine that was in the base Imprezes.
If you want the best of both worlds, this is a car that you should seriously consider.
The biggest change with the Subaru V6 engine will be in the exhaust system, which now uses a direct-injection system instead of a twin-cam system found on other engines.
It’ll be a bit more powerful, too, with 607 horsepower and 740 pound-feet of torque.
The Subaru Imposta, on the other hand, is getting a smaller turbocharged engine that will likely feature a 3-liter twin-turbo V6.
There’s no word on when we’ll see the Subaru Impregas on the market, but that should be a very exciting time for the Subaru community.
