Google’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Eric Schmidt told the BBC he had hoped the Nexus 7 would be a “good story”.
“If we were to make a phone that’s going to appeal to a huge number of people, I was hoping that we would make it that good,” he said.
“And we’ve done that.
It’s one of the best Android phones ever made.”
In an interview with the BBC, Schmidt was asked about Google’s latest Nexus 7, which he said was made by “really good people”.
“We don’t talk about the specs, but the design of the phone itself is really good,” said Schmidt.
The battery life is outstanding. “
The design is beautiful and very good.

It feels really good in your hand.”
But Schmidt said he was surprised to hear how quickly the Nexus 6 came to be the bestselling Android phone of all time.
“That phone was a little bit over a year old, and it sold over 3 million units,” said the CTO.
‘They’re great devices’ He said he’d like to see the next Nexus 6 “be better”, but said he did not have a timetable for that. “
When I look at that phone, and the other phones that are on the market, I think it’s amazing.”

It’s very rare to have a product that’s so good.

“At the same time, it’s going too fast. “
I’m not sure how long it’s actually going to take to get to that point.” “

Google’s new Nexus 6 is the company’s best-selling phone to date, selling 3.8 million units worldwide.
It also became the most popular Android smartphone in the US, beating Apple’s iPhone 5, Samsung’s Galaxy S4 and Sony’s Xperia Z3 Compact.
